What’s on my table tonight???

A MESS!   Several works in progress.  I finished the top to the Cajun Cathedral Windows, so I thought I’d work on the scraps I had amassed on purpose.

From the placemats……

And also scraps from the placemat post….both of these are fairly small.   I need to add something else so they’ll at least work on a table.

I then found half a jelly roll and used the jelly roll race method.  Ended up with a double-toned runner and 4 place mats!

Put together a waterfall of pink for a coin baby quilt.

And a paper pieced pattern that you’ll see on Halloween Day!

I think it’s bedtime. And yes, that was wine!!

Jelly Roll Race

Mrs Pat Sloan today challenged her blog readers to a “Low Impact Jelly Roll Race”.  Sooooo, I did!!  What’s a Jelly Roll Race??  Google it.   There are several sets of instructions.   But they are all basically the same.   Take 40 pieces of fabric-each 2.5″ x Width Of Fabric.

Sew them together on the short edges.  Some do it straight, others miter them.   Then fold the strip in half and sew one long edge. 1 strip is now 2.  When you get to the end, fold it in half and sew again.  Now you have 4.

Do this until one long strip becomes 32.  And VOILA!  A quilt!!

I think I’ll put a panto on this, and have it for sale at the craft fair.
November 10th!!   Thanks Mrs Pat! I needed a jump start on the craft fair stuff!

peace and pieces,
