Last preview!

This is going to be a week of reveals!!!  First, the Halloween Paper Piece block hosted by Whims and Fancies will come out Wednesday.   Then on Halloween I will have a bonus block done by Stitches and Kisses–a partner job with my sweet gal Dorothy Gauthier!!!!  And somewhere in all of that, I’ll have a baby quilt to show off, AND my Cajun Cathedral Windows!!   All that needs is binding and a bath!!!!!

So keep your eyes peeled!!   I leave you with a back picture of the Windows!

What’s on my table tonight???

A MESS!   Several works in progress.  I finished the top to the Cajun Cathedral Windows, so I thought I’d work on the scraps I had amassed on purpose.

From the placemats……

And also scraps from the placemat post….both of these are fairly small.   I need to add something else so they’ll at least work on a table.

I then found half a jelly roll and used the jelly roll race method.  Ended up with a double-toned runner and 4 place mats!

Put together a waterfall of pink for a coin baby quilt.

And a paper pieced pattern that you’ll see on Halloween Day!

I think it’s bedtime. And yes, that was wine!!

Home again and on to Christmas

Well, Thanksgiving was AWESOME!  I had a great time at my parents.  And with my niece.  She is active, but sooo bubbly.  I adore that kid!  But it’s back to the grind. I have to finish the butterflies, start on a dragon, and make 13 bags and journals.  Yikes I’m going to be busy.  Wish me luck!

But first, a sneak of the butterfly!

And I received a gift in the mail right before Thanksgiving.  I joined a swap that used a different format.  I think I like it!  The swap was hosted by Quilting Gallery.  They gave you a pattern that you had to use, but it was open to interpretation.  HERE is the original post.  I made this one and sent it off.

The recipient said she liked it super scrappy. And she seemed pleased when she received it.  THIS is the one i found, and I LOVE it!

And LOOK at the stitches!  She hand quilted this.  They are perfectly even.

sigh    Someday I’ll have the time to handquilt.  Someday……………………..
